ZEIT-GEIST is an immersive 3D and virtual reality environment for the teaching of radiation oncology to undergraduate medical students. ZEIT-GEIST is novel in its approach of using low-cost hardware to produce an immersive simulation of a radiotherapy treatment based on teaching assets of real cases. The simulation enables medical students to work through a variety of treatment scenarios, building confidence in their clinical decisions and analytical skills. The application is supported on a number of platforms, including Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
ZEIT-GEIST project is funded by the HEFCE Catalyst Fund, and led by the Computational Radiotherapy Group at University of Cambridge.
